GOL! GOL GOL GOL ! GOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!
Too bad be has injuries
Slice or no slice that is the question 😊 God bless thanks 😊
Wondering if she should switch to a platform stance. She’s double faulting way too many times.
Tip for left-handed players learning from this great tutorial: replace the "youtube" with "mirrorthevideo" and you'll watch the video reversed (Serena serving left-handed).
What happened to sound in the video.. no longer we hear it
Mama Mia, next generation forehand !!!!!!!
I love you Aryna
V inneficient
As we say in Scotland, voonderbar, bellisimo etc🎉
It’s a compact WTA forehand, not ATP.
It’s an ATP wrist position on the takeback. If you freezeframe at 0:32, the racquet head is pointed diagonally up-left (from our point of view). The WTA points it only upwards
Do you have Rybakina serve ? Thanks
Sorry. Haven't done one of her yet. Mainly do photos. Thanks.
This high-speed scanning tape is great in terms of studying momentum transfer. The athletic is in vertical flight (no ground contact) long before the racquet and ball contact phase.
Sick disguise and made Nole thought it’s a serve down the T for a split second. He didn’t need to toss the ball slightly to his right hand side and still able to hit a sick slice serve
and he still got his ass beat by Novak
He always does lol
That goes for most people
L
stopping the video when its good for you is not a nice thing to do !! go 2 frames further and youll see there is pronation and isr , youll see the backside of the string are pointed to the servicebox!!!!! if you want slice with enough speed you need to have it , watch zverev slice at 195km or raonic
Too bad his forehand is a WTA forehand.
One of the best kick serves
It ins't a kick. Isnt Isner 🤣🤣
exactly- you dont need to pronate. Its supination and works just fine for a slice serve
People, why don't you just stop calling it a kick serve. it's obviously slice. Just look at the side spin, look at the ball's travel path, look at the racquets travel path, look at the contact point, look how he twists his body. Only people who don't play tennis would think this is a kick serve.
It's actually a topspin slice. His racquet went slightly up following contact, allowing slightly more net clearance and higher bounce. I believe in the US, they call all topspin serves kick serves. In Australia, they call the left-right top spin serve "kick serves" and it used to be called the "American twist serve". There is no agreed terminology.
@@fudagroup9935 I agree
@@fudagroup9935 just to be crystal clear, I agree with @fuda group analysis (comment)
Awesome serve but the camera filming leaves something to be desired. They cut off her racket at contact.
Without pronating she would hit the ball with the edge, not with string. Period.
That's called a bodega slice
Serena said that lady tennis players should be allowed to take thier shirt off on the court! Serena please spare us! Dont ever take your shirt off on the court!
Why would anyone make a video about this? Get a frickin life!
How can people, in comments, not call that a slice? It is the most obvious thing I've seen in my life...
Agreed. Oh my lord people are stupid
I agree, it is quite obvious lmao
cause "the know it all comments" doesnt even play tennis
Is it because the pronation looks and feels so late?
Do you have any tips on incorporating more turn and coil in the serve?
Might check out this guy's video's: ua-cam.com/video/ael71EkjvHw/v-deo.html Good luck!
1:02 his coil is insane!
Let the ball drop and hitting up - looks more like a kicker
hes not hiting a "kicker". did u even read and watch? its a solid slice serve!
He didn't come up the ball, look at the pronation. He came around the right
A very amateurish judgement
False.
imagine you have super slow mo where you can see the revolutions of the ball at its direction and still call it a kick serve.
forehand movement was a perfect example of semi on the run; one cross over to reach the ball load and hit, one cross over + one shuffle step for recovery
Racket clearly continues and there is definitely pronation. Pronation may be after contact but there is pronation.
Beautiful
Jesus ...
The best serves look so simple yet so difficult to execute. I'm stuck with a waiter's serve for a while now. Although I've made some improvements, I still don't get a good backscratch racquet drop. A recurring shoulder and wrist injury is now forcing me to rebuild my serve action again so I can play pain free tennis for many years to come. Can you please review my video here and recommend any changes I can make? ua-cam.com/video/TQtlk__llRo/v-deo.html
I'm not qualified to teach serves, but perhaps this story will be encouraging. I had a best friend, Steve, whose left side was physically impaired. He loved tennis, went to a tennis camp where a top pro told him "I teach landing forward in the court. If you do that you'll fall over. Let's work on optimizing your serve." Steve developed a very good serve that fit his abilities. One idea in your case: When some pros have returned from shoulder surgery, they've served somewhat sidearm until they regained strength in their shoulders, and even played at a top level doing so. Dementieva is one example. Might be worth a try. You'd be stuck hitting slice only. But less stress on shoulder.
I love to play tennis, I've won a few matches and tournaments, but lost a lot more. That the great thing about tennis you can always get better. I cant wait for the Corona to be over so I can work on my kick serve , drop shot and other strokes of the game.I could keep on writing but if you play tennis you do understand.
best serve in the woman's game beside Plischova / Osaka
that was filthy
You all can create a million videos of her serve and no one will be able to read it! Except Venus ❤️
What are you rabbiting on about?
go a few clicks further and you will see pronation, deceptive video
Samantha looks amazing in that figure hugging dress. That it cannot contain her muscular arms, shoulders and thighs only shows them off more!
Thanks
Definitely pronation happening although slight. If there was no pronation the forearm would not rotate and action would look very much like chopping or hammering a nail. You can see Serena Serena's Palm move from facing the left sideline to downwards facing the court, it's only facing the target at impact and immediately after impact the palm starts to face down as a result of the forearm twisting or pronating.
John's pronation is insane!
Djoko was little late on the prep step...
It is all about her muscle.
CHARAPOVA IS A VERY SERIOUS ATHLETIC CHE REALY GAT THE FOCUS IN TE TENNIS COURT ADMIRABLY
Beautiful... indeed. But it’s not a slice. That’s a Kick Serve. Djokovic was caught ... he thought the ball was going down the T.
No, a kick serve you need to brush up at the ball from 6 to 12 or 7 to 1, 0:18 clearly shows his racquet hit the ball from 9 to 3, its a slice serve.
I agree. All my slice serves bounce left and my kickers bounce right. Maybe some players think this is a kicker because they're lefties?
@@GIN.356.A You're being misled by the camera angle. The arm motion is that of a kick serve, the ball is noticeably spinning top to bottom, and veering off to the right after the bounce where a slice would have it spinning bottom to top and veering off to the left. It's a kick serve.
@@remnant24 actually you are being misled by the camera angle it's slice. The racquet is going forward and to the side . 0 top spin. 100% side spin. Just look the trajectory of the ball. Was downward. You think that a kick serve is going downward! Wtf. Kick serve first goes up and then goes down because the spin. This is not a kick serve.
@@remnant24 yeah I'm a year late but this is a slice serve. Watch it in 0.25x. It does have a fair bit of topspin though, which comes from slicing it "from below" just a bit - requires unbelievable wrist flexibility and really good timing. What you're seeing is more of a 8-to-3 (rather than 9-to-3 aka typical "slice" with sidespin and no under- or topsping) strike of the ball, which creates the topspin. But the ball is clearly spinning to the left, making it a slice and distinguishing it from a kicker which spins to the right (when hit by a righty). This is also known as a "twist" serve!
Without question the video shows that then she was one superbly conditioned female athlete!. With unreserved admiration I'd say that she still is!
